This year, King Coel’s Kittens Fireworks Spectacular returns to Castle Park, Colchester, for an unforgettable Guy Fawkes Night 2025 celebration filled with fireworks, music and community spirit.
Join thousands of locals as we honour the historic Gunpowder Plot in true Colchester style – with an evening of colour, entertainment and family-friendly fun beneath the stars. 
A Colchester Tradition
For decades, King Coel’s Kittens has brought the community together to commemorate Guy Fawkes Night with one of Essex’s largest fireworks displays.
Expect:
Live entertainment from 5:30 PM with magician & showman Michael J Fitch- The famous Guy Fawkes procession led by the Colchester Beefeaters to the Lower Park
A spectacular fireworks finale around 7:30 PM
Delicious food and refreshments from local vendors
It’s a night of fire, fun and family that marks the start of the winter season in Colchester.
Family-Friendly Bonfire Night
Bring the whole family – this event is safe, spacious and well organised.
Children under 3 attend free (with a ticket), making it an affordable and memorable night out.
Stewards and security are on site throughout, and profits from the evening go directly toward local good causes, charities and equipment grants that benefit the Colchester community.
